Following this, when Kevin Evans transitioned to Rosslyn as the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the company was entering a period of rapid growth and transformation.
Recognising the importance of building a high-calibre software engineering tech team to support their expansion, Rosslyn sought out a recruitment partner with the expertise to find a small but integral group of roles including Team Lead that would shape the brand moving into the future. Their choice? MRJ Recruitment.
Under the leadership of Rekiel and CEO Jody, we used our usual recruitment processes (including our 6-step executive search process), sophisticated sourcing methods, and our extensive network of tech talent to successfully reduced the hiring process from two stages to one. This increased efficiency enabled us to quickly identify and engage the exact people needed for each of the 6 roles.
At Rosslyn, as with all our clients, we understand that the key to success isn’t necessarily in the volume of candidates, but the quality. We’ve seen the drawbacks of the scattershot approach used by other recruiters, and quite simply, we don’t believe it’s an effective way of working.

In our view, there's no such thing as a 'small position' in a business—only small people. Whether it's recruiting for a team of 30 or just 6, we put in the same effort to find the right fit for every position.
Instead of taking a 'throw everything at the wall and see what sticks' approach, we took our time to carefully curate a small, focused shortlist of candidates for each role. This allowed Rosslyn to review and veto options at their own pace.
During this period, we effectively established two product development teams, each comprised of a diverse range of engineering talent. These teams included:
