An exciting opportunity has arisen with a rapidly growing tech startup that's on a mission to revolutionise housing and tenancy management. Currently seeking an Events & Community Executive to play a key role in their continued expansion.

Now operational in two UK cities, with plans to launch in two more by September, they have also expanded into the US. In 2023, they were recognized by Tech Climbers as a fast-scaling tech company and are now in the process of raising funds to accelerate their growth even further.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage partnerships with university societies, fostering strong, long-term relationships, and enhancing brand affinity.
  • Oversee University Team Leaders and Brand Representatives in key cities
  • Manage timesheets and shift reporting for Leaders and Brand Representatives, identifying and reporting any noteworthy performance.
  • Coordinate logistics for events and promotional activities, including managing suppliers for merchandise, print materials, free samples, and uniforms.
  • Collaborate with the Social and Content Manager and wider team to brief Brand Representatives on video content creation for social channels, and provide support as needed. Experience managing social media platforms and video content creation would be advantageous.
  • Develop and execute guerrilla marketing activities in student cities to generate buzz and increase brand visibility.
  • Amplify partnerships through creative strategies to maximize reach and impact within targeted communities.

Candidate Profile

  • You will have a strong understanding of the student demographic and the challenges they face.
  • Proven experience in event management or community engagement is essential, with experience in brand ambassador programs being highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively liaise with external stakeholders, including university societies and brand ambassadors.
  • A creative thinker with a passion for innovative marketing tactics and strategies. Knowledge of guerrilla marketing tactics and creative promotional techniques would be a strong advantage.
  • The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment, demonstrating initiative and adaptability.
  • Willingness to travel frequently is required (with all expenses covered).
