As their new Head of Engineering, you'll be a catalyst for our next phase of their huge growth. You'll architect and lead a world-class engineering team, delivering innovative software solutions that drive our business forward. Working closely with our CIO and board, you'll shape the technology roadmap and ensure they stay ahead of the curve.

Salary: £80k-90k (DOE) | 3 days a week in a MCR office (must be based in the UK)

What you will be doing:

  • Drive Technology-Led Growth: Align technology strategy with business objectives to fuel expansion and revenue growth.
  • Build Scalable Infrastructure: Design and implement a robust technology foundation capable of supporting substantial growth in both consumer and business markets.
  • Lead and Develop Technology Teams: Build, inspire, and scale high-performing engineering and product teams, fostering collaboration across departments.
  • Foster Innovation Culture: Create an environment of experimentation, rapid iteration, and continuous learning within the product engineering teams.
  • Establish Technology Excellence: Define and enforce rigorous engineering, DevOps, and QA standards to ensure product quality and efficiency.
  • Strategic Technology Leadership: Cultivate strong relationships with executive leadership to advance the technology and digital agenda.

 

 

Ideal profile for the role:

  • Educated to degree level or above in a computer science related field
  • Proven expertise in software development methodologies and enterprise architecture.
  • Demonstrated mastery of the Laravel framework.
  • Leadership and Management
  • Exceptional ability to lead and inspire high-performing engineering teams.
  • Strong track record in delivering successful software projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute a comprehensive engineering strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Deep understanding of agile development methodologies and best practices.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong mentorship and coaching skills to develop and retain top engineering talent.
  • Experience in building and scaling engineering teams to support organisational growth.
