Position: Infrastructure Engineer

🏡 What will your role be?

Joining our infrastructure team in Virum (North Copenhagen), we are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our IT infrastructure across the awaze group.

A varied role where no two days are the same, you will work across various systems, including servers, networks, cloud environments, and storage, ensuring they operate efficiently, securely, and effectively, whilst also working closely with other IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of critical business applications and services.

🏡 Day-to-day you will:

• Design and implement scalable and secure IT infrastructure solutions.
• Integrate new companies into the awaze group network.
• Help us migrate from on prem to cloud (AWS).
• Deploy and configure servers, storage, network devices, and other infrastructure components.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and management processes using tools like Terraform, or similar.
• Analyze and optimize, monitor and maintain IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues promptly.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including patch management, backups, and disaster recovery drills.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures across all infrastructure components.
• Work closely with development, security, and operations teams to support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Provide on call (1 in every 4 weeks).

🏡 Who are you?

An experienced Infrastructure Engineer, it is expected that you will offer experience/knowledge in a mixture of the following:

• Experience/knowledge of Amazon Web Services including EC2, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Lambda
• Demonstrable experience of Microsoft Windows Server technologies and associated technologies such as Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, IIS, DFS
• Exposure to Microsoft cloud technologies such as Office 365 and Azure
• Administration and Configuration of HyperV and a good understanding of virtualisation concepts as a whole
• Experience with internal and web monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds and New Relic
• Working knowledge of Enterprise Storage and Backup technologies
• Working knowledge of Patch Management such as WSUS and third party patching tools
• Attention to detail, desire to learn, ability to work flexibly, take part in an on-call rota, customer focused.
• The ability to quickly diagnose and troubleshoot problems through to resolution by collaborating across technical teams
• An understanding or exposure to agile ways of working

Desirable

• AWS Certification at Associate or higher
• Infrastructure as Code concepts such as Devops (Azure) and Terraform
