Inside IR35 – £700-750 per day

London or Manchester – 2 days a week (no sponsorship available)

We are recruiting on behalf of a billion-pound eCommerce brand for an experienced Contract Product Design Manager to lead their growing design team. In this pivotal role, you will guide the entire design process, from ideation to testing, while ensuring exceptional user experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to deliver high-quality digital solutions for one of the most recognised names in eCommerce.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a growing design team within a large, established eCommerce brand.
• Manage the design process from research and ideation to final execution and testing.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to deliver creative, thoughtful solutions.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of design systems and brand language.
• Recruit, build, and retain top talent for the design team.
• Provide constructive feedback and foster a collaborative team culture.
• Shape strategic design decisions and contribute to the brand’s evolution.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience leading and managing large design teams within a managerial role.
• eCommerce experience is essential.
• A portfolio showcasing expertise in product design, simplicity, and user interactions.
• Strong experience in designing complex digital solutions.
• Ability to prioritise, iterate, and advocate for user-centric design.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for collaboration.
• Empathy and a commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive projects from concept to completion.
